The list of our scholarship winners this year is expanding! Young Danish guitarist Nichlas Overgaard won the EuroStrings scholarship that enabled him to visit Copenhagen Guitar Festival this August. Congratulations to Nichlas!

Meet our scholarship winner:

Nichlas Overgaard has played the classical guitar since the age of 7 with Kristian Buhl-Mortensen. During his 13 years of experience he has played at several cultural and festive occasions and received the first prize at The Aalborg International Guitar Festival and Competition (Category 2) in 2018. Nichlas has studied the classical guitar at MGK Copenhagen as a student of the award winning guitarist Niklas Johansen, and has now entered the Royal Danish Academy of Music under Lecturer Jesper Sivebæk.
