3rd EuroStrings Guitar Competition for EuroStrings Artists 2019/2020 will be held ONLINE from 17th until 20th December 2020
with the FINAL broadcast on the EuroStrings Facebook page on Sunday 20 December 2020. Two Phantasmas by the composer and guitarist Ozan Coşkun (winning composition in the Second EuroStrings Composition Contest) is the compulsory piece in the Final round.
The EuroStrings Guitar Competition is open to the EuroStrings Artists – the 17 prizewinners from the 17 guitar festivals, which are EuroStrings Platform members for 2019–2020. Each of these festivals draws competitors from all over the world and, as a result, the EuroStrings Guitar Competition offers the very best of the finest young guitarists from all over the world.
First Round of the competition will be broadcasted on 17 and 18 December 2020.
Second Round of the competition will be broadcasted on Saturday 19 December 2020.
Final Round of the competition will be broadcasted on Sunday 20 December 2020.
Deadline for submitting competition entry video recordings: Tuesday 1 December 2020
IMPORTANT VIDEO SUBMISSION DETAILS:
o videos must be in mp4 format, with a minimum resolution of HD Ready 720p (1280 x 720px)
o videos must be unedited, taken in one stationary shot from the beginning to the end for the entire programme (without stopping the camera in between pieces). The competitor’s face and both hands must be within the frame, and the upper body should occupy approximately 75% of the frame.
o The competitor should ensure that the sound and lighting is adequate and make sure to film in landscape mode.
o The beginning of the video should include a verbal introduction by the candidate, including: their name and surname, country of origin and the purpose of the recording, that is, for the First Round, Second Round or Final.
