The 20th edition of Szeged International Guitar Festival
The 20th edition of exciting Szeged IGF is opening its doors on April 8, 2019. During the seven days of the festival, Szeged IGF will present a rich array of performances, masterclasses, highlighting the versatility of the guitar as a solo and ensemble instrument, also in different genres like classical, finger-style, flamenco, world, singer-songwriter, even pop-rock and astonishing combinations with other arts like literature.
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Festival it will be organized not just in Szeged, but Budapest and Subotica (Serbia) too, collaborating Cultural Institutes, Embassies and music clubs. Our EuroStrings Artists will also participate in the festival’s activities performing concerts in Szeged, Budapest and Subotica (Serbia), participating in masterclasses with world-renowned guitar teachers (Adam Del Monte, Tilman Hoppstock, Jon Gomm, Nuno Cachada, etc.) and outreach activities at SZTE Grammar and Primary School and KatHÁZ, Concert Hall.
EuroStrings Artists that will participate in Szeged IGF are Mateusz Kowalski (PL), Katarzyna Smolarek (PL), Yuki Saito (JP), Peter Graneis (D), Emmanuel Sowicz (UK, CH), Gábor Hart (HU), Zuzanna Wężyk (PL) & Dimitris Soukaratas (GR).
