Mateusz Kowalski releases new CD
Former EuroStrings Artist and the 2019 EuroStrings Guitar Competition winner, Mateusz Kowalski, released a new CD. The CD includes mostly unknown Polish guitar music of XIX century from Bobrowicz, Horecki, Sokołowski, Szczepanowski as well as the first-ever transcriptions of Chopin‘ Mazurkas op. 6 and 7.
“This music was written in a time when Poland didn’t exist as an independent country, by composers who were forced to leave their homeland”, Mateusz shares. For him, this music is full of nostalgia and hope for a better tomorrow. Since Mateusz comes from Poland, there is no doubt that this CD holds a special place in his heart.
He played a premiere concert of this CD on the Polish National Anthem Day in the Polish National Opera. His performance was also streamed on Youtube.
The CD is called Polish Romantic Guitar and can be found on streaming platforms. This is the second CD that this talented guitarist has released, after his debut album “Mateusz Kowalski Classical Guitarist”. Huge congratulations to Mateusz on this amazing achievement! It is so nice to see his career grow and develop, and we couldn’t be more proud that he was a part of our platform.
