Sante Mileti (Mottola Guitar Festival)
Born in Acquaviva delle Fonti (Bari) in 1998, Sante Mileti graduated in 2017 with full marks and honors at the “N. Rota” Conservatory of Monopoli (Bari) in the class of Maestro Antonino Maddonni. Later he obtained the Second Level Academic Diploma with full marks, honors and special mention at the “A. Vivaldi” Conservatory in Alessandria in the class of Maestro Frédéric Zigante. Starting from 2014, he was an effective student of Maestro Oscar Ghiglia at the prestigious “Accademia Chigiana” in Siena for four years, obtaining, in 2015 and 2019, the diploma of merit. Winner of several scholarships, he participated in the courses of the masters Evangelina Mascardi, Stefano Grondona, Lorenzo Micheli, Antonio Rugolo, Emanuele Segre and Andrea Dieci. In 2014 he was selected by the Scientific Committee of the 19th International Guitar Convention in Alessandria to participate as a young talent, as «The Scientific Committee found in Sante Mileti outstanding skills as an interpreter and a valuable talent that places him in the foreground as a young promise of the guitar». In October 2019 he made his debut abroad with a solo recital in Dublin, organized by the Italian Cultural Institute of Dublin in collaboration with the TU Dublin Conservatoire of Music. He participated, obtaining the 1st Prize, in numerous national and international competitions, including 24th “Young Guitarists” Competition in Mottola (Taranto), 26th “Giulio Rospigliosi” Competition in Lamporecchio (Pistoia), 1st “Corde d’Autunno” in Milan, and 2nd Florence International Guitar Competition.
