Mauricio Zúñiga (Twents Gitaarfestival)
Mauricio Zúñiga was born in Santiago, Chile (1985) started his formal studies at 18 years old at School of Arts University of Chile with his former teacher Ernesto Quezada. He belonged to The Guitars Ensemble of Chile in 2012 and had master classes with known guitarists as Roman Viasovsky (Ucraine), José Antonio Escobar (Chile), Carlos Pérez (Chile), Piraí Vaca (Bolivia), Eric Franceries (France), Yves Storm (Belgium), Alberto Mesirca (Italy), Gerhard Reichenbach (Germany).
Semi-Finalist at the 8th Edition of Claxica Competition (Italy) in 2016. He has finished his master in performance with Johan Fostier at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent graduated with Great Distinction. Recently organized the First Edition of The Classical Guitar Competition of Ghent (June 2017).
Mauricio Zúñiga is the EuroStrings Scholarship Winner for the Twents Gitaarfestival.
