David Marton (International Guitar Festival Neurtingen)
David Marton (04.03.1997.) is a Serbian classical guitarist. Born in Vrsac, Serbia. He started playing guitar as an eight-year-old boy. He graduated Elementary music school, Josif Marinkovic” in Vrsac in the class of professor Relja Turudic. After elementary school, he moved to Belgrade, Serbia. He graduated High music school, Davorin Jenko” in the class of the same professor.
Marton won awards at local and international competitions: 2nd prize Serbian national competition 2014, 2016 ( Belgrade, Serbia), 3rd prize ,,Ion Vidu” International competition 2012 ( Timisoara, Romania), 1st prize laureat ,, Jarakova gitara” national competition 2012 (Cacak, Serbia), 1st prize ,,Davorin Jenko” international chamber competition 2016 ( Belgrad, Serbia), 1st prize ,,Montenegro International Guitar Competition” 2018 (Tivat, Montenegro). He had many concerts, in Vrsac, Cacak, Belgrade (Serbia), Cetinje, Niksic, Bar, Kotor ( Montenegro).
During his education process, he attended master classes of world-famous guitarists such as Zoran Dukic, Thomas Offermann, Raphaella Smits, Nikita Koshkin, Zoran Anic, Costas Cotsiolis, Sabrina Vlaskalic and many others. With nineteen years, he was started to work with children’s in music school as a teacher. He worked in music school “Josif Marinkovic” in Vrsac (Serbia) and music school “Davorin Jenko” in Belgrade (Serbia). Marton is a student at Music Academy Cetinje, (Montenegro), in the class of professor Danijel Cerovic and teacher in music school “Vida Matjan” in Kotor (Montenegro). David Marton plays with a guitar made by the Spanish luthier Antonio Picado (2015).
David Marton is the EuroStrings Scholarship Winner for the International Guitar Festival Neurtingen.
