Belmin Okanović (Montenegro International Guitar Competition)
Belmin Okanović was born in 1997 and has started his companionship with the guitar at the age of eight. He completed the primary and secondary music school in his native city of Tuzla, in the class of a renowned professor Predrag Stanković. Belmin Okanovic was awarded more than 20 federal and international awards from prestigious guitar competitions. in B&H, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Romania, Belgium and Germany. He has also won a number of recognitions at the cantonal and federal level of Bosnia and Herzegovina; among them, he is especially proud of the Recognition by the FBiH Ministry of Science and Culture, giving him recognition as the most successful student from the music schools in the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2011/2012 academic year. In June 2017, Belmin was admitted to the prestigious Robert Schumann School in Dusseldorf, continuing his learning in the class of Prof. Joaquin Clerch. During 2017/2018, 2018/2019, 2020/2021 academic years, Belmin took all the necessary auditions to be awarded the German Scholarship (Deutschlandstipendium), the goal of which is to financially support young artists during their study. In 2019, Belmin was also selected as a solo player of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation and will be playing concerts as such in the next three years in Germany, in the Nordrhein-Westfalen region. He plays on a guitar by Paco Santiago Marin from Spain.
