Nürtingen International Guitar Festival’ activities in 2020

EuroStrings – the European Guitar Festival Collaborative is pleased to announce that Nürtingen International Guitar Festival, which was forced to shift their main festival to 31 July–7 August 2021 due to Covid-19, has decided to hold with some of the events planned for 2020. Every Saturday in October 2020 they will stream EuroStrings Artist recitals on the Nürtingen International Guitar Festival YouTube channel.

The recitals will be stream according to this schedule:
Jonas Egholm, Denmark  (3 October 2020)
Bruno Pino Mateos, Spain (10 October 2020)
Zsombor Sidoo, Hungary (17 October 2020)
Nino D’Amico, Italy (24 October 2020)
George Tarlton,United Kingdom (31 October 2020)

Further events that are planned for November 2020 include:
– an online concert and interview with Mateusz Kowalski (Poland, winner of the 2019 Second EuroStrings Guitar Competition)
– Lecture: ‘Marketing Strategies for Guitarists’ (7 November 2020)
Danilo Cabaluz in a lecture-concert ‘Latin American Rhythms’ (14 November 2020)
– masterclasses and junior guitar lessons
and an online competition (participants are asked to send a video)

Other events planned for November 2020 include:
Rodrigo Guzmán giving a lecture-concert ‘Latin American Rhythms’
– Lecture: Björn Colell on ‘Early Music’
– Online masterclasses (with ES ambassadors, among others)
