We have another EuroStrings scholarship winner! He is a guitarist from Switzerland, Damien Theux. Thanks to winning the scholarship, Damien will visit the upcoming Szeged International Guitar Festival in Hungary. The festival takes place from 14 until 17 October and Damien will have a chance to attend masterclasses, concerts and other interesting events. Congratulations!

Meet our scholarship winner:
A young musician from Switzerland, Damien Theux started his guitar journey at the age of 7. 10 years later, after finishing his non-professional classes, he started studying with George Vassilev. He has been playing in public since the age of 15, in the International Guitar Festival of Nendaz, for the concert dedicated to the young local virtuoso. Damien won some prizes in local competitions, such as 1st place with distinction in the Entrada and 2nd place at the final of the Swiss Youth Music Competition in 2021. He studies now in the HEMu of Lausanne (Switzerland) in the class of Mr. Vassilev.
